Bouncing Back When Your Chances Are Zero!
At the age of four, Joshua Goodling was diagnosed with a terminal cancer that would change his life forever. The doctors gave him one week to live and said his chances of survival were zero! That was over 41 years ago, so it's been a long week!
After many surgeries and treatments the cancer went away – but it came back several months later. Again the doctors gave no hope, and one of them told Joshua's parents, "This is a terminal case, Joshua won't make it."
The cancer was eventually gone, but it left Joshua with almost insurmountable obstacles to overcome. His vocal chords were partially paralyzed, his growth was stunted, and he was faced with daily battles to overcome physical limitations and many personal difficulties.
Many people would say that Joshua's life was destroyed by cancer. However, Joshua learned long ago that God has a plan and purpose for everything that happens in our lives. God has used Joshua's story to impact people all around the world.
